BRAZIL – On October 23, Floraplac’s new expansion, the Green Line, produced its first MDF board.

806FLORAPLAC This line, which promises to be one of the most modern in the country, was supplied by Dieffenbacher and has a production capacity of 1,400 m3 / day. With this expansion, the company expects to quadruple production capacity, reduce inputs and move consumers to a product of higher quality and environmentally responsible.

During the month of October, the Green Line will enter a stage of parameter adjustments to start mass production next month. Given the new technological capacity, Floraplac aims to launch new designs this year.

“We believe in Brazil’s potential and we are optimistic for the coming years,” says Floraplac president, Pantio D’Agnoluzzo.

Floraplac, a subsidiary of the Concrem Group, is located in Paragominas, a municipality in the state of Pará in the northern region of Brazil and is the only board plant in the Amazon. Its raw material comes from more than 30,000 hectares of planted forests, which total more than 300 million trees and involves a forestry program of 3 million trees per year to ensure the supply and the conservation of the environment.

It is noteworthy that one of the planted species is the Paricá, a species native to the region.

The Green Line has a continuous press with a production capacity of 2.5 mm to 40 mm boards. Floraplac’s natural markets are the regions closest to the factory. Today, approximately 10% of the company’s production is for the furniture industry and 90% for distribution. However, with the new line the company will also transition to the export market.
