ARGENTINA – In the month of the 1st anniversary in Argentina, Egger reinforces its commitment to the community of Concordia by joining as main sponsor of the sixth edition of the race “Crossing of Salto Grande”, the largest adventure race in the region. This activity is part of the global Egger Runs program.

Egger Runs was created in 2010 and promotes the participation of employees in running events. The activity is aimed at all audiences, to promote a healthy lifestyle and help a local charity. This is the 1st edition in Argentina and all the proceeds of the “Crossing of Salto Grande” race will be donated to Caritas Concordia.

The race takes place in the Uruguayan-Argentine border, in the area of the Salto Grande lake, in Concordia, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October, in different categories (by distance): 5K-12K-25K-50K. In its 6th edition more than 2000 runners have already registered.

“Promoting a healthy life and the awareness to help those who need it most are the main reasons for this internal program where the goal is solidarity,” commented Oscar Accinelli, Human Resources Manager of Egger Argentina. The Egger Runs program invites all local collaborators to join, and for each km traveled, the company will donate 100 Argentine pesos to Caritas Concordia.
