BRAZIL- Duratex, wins for the third consecutive year the Transparency Trophy in the category of Companies with Net Revenues of up to BRL 5 billion (USD 1.2 billion).

Awarded by Anefac (National Association of Executives of Finance, Administration and Accounting), the award recognizes good accounting practices of Brazilian companies, focusing on the clarity and objectivity with which they disclose their financial information to the market.

“Each year, the evaluation assessment criteria becomes more rigid. Therefore, we have revised our processes and qualified our financial team, involving it more and more in the discussion of the business”, says Henrique Haddad, Director of Administration, Finance and Investor Relations of Duratex. He adds: “This achievement is a reflection of our commitment and position as a leading company in governance and transparency.”

Known locally as the Oscar of accounting, in its 22nd edition, the award recognized 24 Brazilian companies. The analysis of the companies is done by alumni with masters and doctorate degrees of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of USP (University of São Paulo) and shared with the Judging Commission for rigorous evaluation. More than two thousand financial statements of Brazilian companies were analyzed. The Transparency Trophy 2018 official ceremony will take place on October 18 in Sao Paulo.
