SPAIN – During the first half of 2018, sales abroad of Spanish furniture have exceeded the figure of EUR 1,074 million, which has meant an increase of 2.5% with respect to the volume recorded in the same period of the previous year.
France, Portugal, Germany and the United Kingdom account for 50.9% of the Spanish furniture exports, more than half of the total exports, and are at the top of the main destinations of Spanish furniture during the first half of this year.
France maintains its leadership as the leading destination of Spanish furniture, with a 26.8% percentage of the total.
Particularly noteworthy are the growth of Morocco (+ 18.7%) and the United States (+ 8.3%), a country that maintains its 5th position among external market.
Other European countries that are traditional destinations for Spanish furniture -as is the case of France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Italy- have also experienced important increases that range between 5.9% and 6.6%.
