GERMANY – SCM celebrated the 35% growth in orders during the last year in the important German market with a stand of more than 1300 m² at Holz-Handwerk, the trade fair for professionals in the wood industry held from March 21 to 24 in Nuremberg.

This growth in Germany has also required the increase of the personnel plant. “In 2017 we have added 20% more new technicians to our team compared to 2016,” said Kosok, “with the aim of being not only a supplier, but also a qualified partner for our customers.”
Among the dozens of technologies exhibited in the 1300m² stand at Holz-Handwerk, SCM presented the new digital solutions from Maestro Digital Systems, which allow an increasingly smart, easy and fast operation, independently of the operator’s experience.
The Maestro Smartech 3D glasses for remote assistance and the new multi-touch operator panel, eye-M, also caught a lot of attention from visitors.
Other popular machines among the dozens on view at the SCM stand were the machining centers for door and window frame manufacturers, the new range of presses intended to meet all market segments, and the finishing solutions based on the use of a sprayer robot.
