BRAZIL – From October 23 to 31, Impress Decor Brazil, in its headquarters located in Araucária (PR), held the Remorar event with guests from the industry and press, presenting four macro trends that are impacting new behaviors, styles and forms of living: Hometherapy, Future’s Now, (Un)Real Time and Work Delight.
“In identifying trends, we tend to look too far into the future we don’t stop and look at our past and analyze it. In this project, we seek a broader understanding, with an extensive research that supported us for the construction of this event,” says Alexandre Chiquiloff, design manager of the Brazilian branch.
Remorar welcomed more than 120 people, including professionals from panel companies, furniture manufacturers and the press. From November on, the exhibition will be open to cabinetmakers, designers, architects and students.
For each macro-trend, a specially elaborated environment was created, which gradually became visible during the presentation, surprising the participants. The designers of Impress Decor Brazil, Alexandre Chiquiloff and Juliana Weiss, then presented in detail the objects, materials, furniture, technologies and behaviors of the new styles, interacting directly with the people present.
Finalizing the first stage, an analysis was undertaken of how the representatives of the furniture sector are acting and preparing for these new scenarios; and, together, analyzed the evolution of an old apartment to what it is today – highlighting the changes and perceived conclusions.
The second stage of the event happened inside Impress’s new development lab. The participants had the opportunity to know the process of creating a complete design, from the search for references to the technical structure of production.
They were then invited to create their own patterns using various materials such as native wood veneers, fabrics, and stones, among others. All creations were immediately printed, in digital format, for analysis and to the surprise of those present.
