GERMANY - The OVVO® V-0930 Connection system was awarded “Best of the Best” – the top prize of the “Interzum Award: Intelligent Material & Design” and given only to innovations that feature ground-breaking design and set new standards for form and function in their industry. 

The Interzum Awards, hosted by Koelnmesse in collaboration with Red Dot, emphasize the significance of design as a value-added factor and is an internationally recognized label by which winners can be set apart from their competitors.

OVVO® (video) is available in both permanent and releasable versions. This connector works best in high-grade board with a thickness of 12 mm and above, and can also work in slightly thinner materials that are denser, such as high-pressure laminates, composite material and solid wood for certain applications.   The innovative dovetail design delivers increased intrinsic tolerance which leads to enhanced shear and tensile strength of the joint created; the new design also features a solid central rib that confers increased joint rigidity.   The new single piece housing also makes automatic insertion possible – a significant enhancement on the design of the original connector.
